Book Review of 'A Hearts Obsession" by Colleen Goble
This short story is a very quick read. From the first page I loved Sarah’s character, but was sad when it didn’t seem to develop into a deeper storyline. Just about the time the novella really became interesting, it just ended, leaving you with a lot of unanswered questions. Maybe this was the author’s intention…to leave you wanting more so you will read the next in the series. For the most part it was an enjoyable book and I will look forward to the next one.

Happy Easter!!!!!!
for several years. I have found as long as I look to God to show me that instead of me trying to figure it out I am much better off. As we celebrate Easter today it is not about bunnies, candy, Easter baskets, or egg hunts. Today is about how our Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose 3 days later to overcome death and wash us clean of our sins. If I have been trying to figure out what being myself to God really means it were not for Jesus we would all be Satins minions. I for one know That God is my true father, I do have an earthly father that I love very much and owe so much to for putting up for my spurts of being a typical teen and thinking I know more than anyone else.
When thinking of and celebrating today just remember what this day stands for.
One thing I always did with my children on Easter I would fill one plastic egg with some special jelly beans and would sit and tell them the reason that we celebrate this day we would sit and I would do the jelly bean poem/Prayer.
Red is for the blood
He gave Green is for the grass He made,
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of night,
Black is for the sins that were made,
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for the hour of sorrow,
Pink is for the new tomorrow.
A bag full of jelly beans, Colorful and sweet,
Is a Prayer…Is a Promise…Is an Easter treat
When thinking of today this song is the perfect one to listen to. The name of the song is called the End of the Beginning by David Phelps
I was taking a trip on a plane the other day, just wishin' that I could get out.
When the man next to me saw the book in my hand and asked me what it was about.
So I settled back in my seat. "A best-seller," I said, "a hist'ry and a myst'ry in one."
Then I opened up the book and began to read from Matthew, Mark, Luke and John...
He was born of a virgin one holy night in the little town of Bethlehem.
Angels gathered 'round Him underneath the star singing praises to the great I AM.
He walked on the water, healed The lame, and made the blind to see again.
And for the first time here on earth we learned that God could be a friend.
And though He never, ever did a single thing wrong, the angry crowd chose Him.
And then He walked down the road
and died on the cross and that was the end...of the beginning."
"That's not a new book, that's a Bible," he said, "And I've heard it all before.
I've tried religion, it's shame and guilt, and I don't need it anymore.
It's superstation, made-up tales, just to help the weak to survive."
"Let me read it again," I said, "But listen closely. This is gonna change your life."

"The end of the beginning?" he said with a smile."What more could there be?
He's dead. \You said they hung Him, put nails in His hands
and a crown of thorns on His head." I said, "I'll read it again,
but this time there's more.
And I believe that this is true: His death wasn't the end but the beginning of life that's completed in you. Don't you see, He did all this for you..."

Beautiful Day
Today was a super pretty day one that you thank God for. To start with I weeded my flower bed so you can see my sunflowers.
I stripped a shelf sanded it and started to paint it. It is a work in progress.
Then I was just going to paint the rust spot on my bathroom rack I said let me just do the whole thing instead I ran out of paint stripper so I have to get more before this project.
Hope this good weather sticks around for Easter the time we celebrate our Savior rising from the dead on the third day. I am so thankful for my Savior. Without him I have no clue where I would be.

Review of "The Higher Grounds Cafe" by Max Lucado
Disclosure I was given a free copy of this book from Family Christian to give an honest review. I am not being compensated in any way. All of the contents and thoughts in this blog are mine and mine alone

Where do I start this book is so amazing it kept my attention from beginning to the end I could not put it down. Chelsea had a very public beak up with her famous NFL husband. Chelsea found out he had been cheating and going through all of their money. Chelsea's mom passed away and left her the café that had been in the family for several generations. Chelsea moved her and her 2 kids back home. They lived upstairs and she ran the business downstairs. Chelsea had just hired Tim and was going through her recipes to pick out the right ones. Chelsea got a letter from the IRS about a huge tax debt that owed on the café for 86,000. So she did the one thing she didn't want to do, she called Sawyer after getting off of the phone with him her blood was boiling 15 million dollars would last most people a lifetime but not her husband even the 4 million dollar annuity that she had put back.
Chelsea had a guardian angel that was sent to help her and to watch over her. This book teaches about forgiveness and that God is always there even when we feel he his not. Max Lucado is brilliant in how he lays out the story only showing bit by bit the changes happening starting with the internet blog that was installed. What would you do if you had to opportunity to ask God just one question. Max tackles many topics in this book. faith, prayer and rebuilding family. I highly recommend this book I give it 5 stars.
